Joel's mother abandoned him when he was 2 years old and left him with his grandparents. His father died shortly after. His grandmother has now left him as well to be with another man, so his grandfather is currently taking care of him and three other children. Joel has a skin condition on his scalp which his grandfather has been unable to take care of. Now, with the help of the sponsorship program, Joel is receiving the care that he needs. When he grows up, he wants to become a police officer. 

Institute Kamez is right outside of the capital city of Tirana. The community here is impoverished. We are currently working to provide food, clothing, shelter, access to healthcare, and love to the children here.
